& modern neurobiological approaches.
Psychological counseling is not a solution to psychiatric or mental illnesses. However, it can be useful in the most difficult and demanding periods of our lives.
The repetition of the same situations, the same behavior, which is destructive towards ourselves or others, can be a good sign that we are probably no longer able to cope with this problem on our own and it is good to invite someone to guide us. To seek a professional support.
What can I help you with? (Signs that it’s time for a change)
- Emotional distress: Experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, or emptiness, or feeling like you are losing control over your reactions.
- Stress and burnout: Sleep problems, constant physical tension, exhaustion, or psychosomatic issues.
- Challenging life changes: A breakup, the loss of a loved one, a new job, or a feeling of going in circles.
- Personal growth: Wanting to better understand your emotions, learn to say “no,” and establish healthy boundaries.
Methods I integrate into my practice
Instead of lengthy discussions about the past, I use approaches that delve deeper than ordinary logic and connect the mind with the body:
- Brainspotting: A deep yet gentle therapeutic method. Rooted in neuroscience (and EMDR principles), it is based on the idea that where we look influences how we feel. It helps process emotional wounds and stress directly in the brain, without the need to verbalize every detail.
- Body-oriented & Mindfulness: I incorporate breathwork, yoga elements, and mindfulness (meditation) into sessions to help calm an overloaded nervous system and bring you back to the present moment.
How does our collaboration work?
- Initial contact: You reach out via the contact form or email. We get to know each other and schedule an online session. We can have short 15 min call (free of charge).
- Introductory meeting: You bring the topic or issue that is currently weighing most heavily on you. Together, we look at what you expect from the sessions.
- Tailored process: Depending on your needs, we will sensitively combine conversation with Brainspotting techniques or bodywork.
